Loans and Reserves

Requests for materials are most easily made online. Alternately, fill out the Request for Media Materials Form(link to pdf form) and fax it to 667-5161 or mail it to:

Shipping

You may pick up and return your materials in person or request shipping. We'll cover shipping charges for outgoing materials. Your school is responsible for return shipping charges.

Loan Periods

Loan periods for other items may differ; please check with us for details. All loan periods allow additional time for shipping.

All materials in the Resource Services collection are copyrighted. You may not copy materials unless they specifically state that you may. No audio or visual materials may be copied.

In Canada, the classroom is considered a public place and all video materials shown in the classroom must have public performance rights. Videos in the collection are purchased with these rights. Yukon Education is also covered for the use of rental videos in the classroom from certain producers. Check with the teacher-librarian in your school for the list of covered producers.

Materials in circulation can be reserved for the next available date. Reserved items will be sent out the same day they are returned by the previous borrower.

Renewals on most items can be made by telephone (667-5161) or by email. Renewals will not be granted on items that are on reserve.

Materials may be booked up to 90 days in advance.

We strive to provide fast and accurate service. To help us be as efficient as possible, we request that you:

• Ensure all items borrowed are returned by the due date.
• Do not write on or mark loan items in any way.
• Report lost or damaged items immediately.
• Do not ship Resource Services materials to another school. Always return items to Resource Services in the shipping bins provided.
